About Us

Montgomery Streets is Anthony DeFeo and Brian Murray, a Brooklyn based Folk Rock duo who are on occasion joined by the illustrious Jack Breslin on upright bass and Ramsey Norman on drums.  In 2013 they released their first EP “Damn Girl” recorded at Galluminum Foil Studios and produced by Chris Cubeta.  The Manhattan Digest called it “a full, diverse sound that anyone can get down with” while Philadelphia’s That Mag said the band was a cross between “Dave Matthews meets Maroon 5 meets Barenaked Ladies.” In 2015 the band followed Cubeta to Studio G Brooklyn where they recorded Brooklyn Burning, a fun summer jam that celebrates the never-ending concrete jungle block party that is Brooklyn in the Summertime.  The song features swirling guitars, piano and full choral vocals reminiscent of Under the Table and Dreaming or What’s the Story Morning Glory.
